Blyth Tait

Who rides for New Zealand, competed at 4 Olympics and won 4 Medals, one of only four New Zealanders to do so. One of his first big succesess at International Level was at the 1990 World Equestrian Games in Stockholm where he both Team and Individual Gold Medals. Blyth retired from Eventing in 2004, he has recently made a comeback for the 2012 Olympics here.

Blyth's Olympic record -

  • 1992: individual bronze; team silver (both on Messiah)
  • 1996: individual gold (on Ready Teddy); team bronze (on Chesterfield)
  • 2000: individual did not finish (on Welton Envoy); team did not finish (on Ready Teddy)
  • 2004: individual 18th; team 5th (both on Ready Teddy)

Donald Kear BHSI

Donald is a registered BHS Instructor and Examiner, who has worked as a freelance Instructor since qualifying, has enjoyed numerous experiences in many spheres – Riding Club, Pony Club, Point-to-Pointing, Eventing and Dressage. Donald was a course builder for the Pentathlon World Championships and Olympic qualifiers and presently is Chairman of British Riding Clubs’ Training Sub-Committee.

Charlotte trained with Donald when she first started and they have stayed very good friends ever since, Donald comes up to Park End Equestrian to do Senior Camp for the SNPC and he does a dressage clinic for us at the same time.
